Zeke Tipton, Founder
Tipton Company was founded in 1935 by Zeke Tipton. Zeke got his start in the industry in 1929, selling plumbing products for his uncle, C.F. Adams. Zeke worked through Texas A & M University and graduated with an Engineering Degree in 1934. Zeke's graduating class had 120 members, all male and all in the Army Corps. Zeke was Captain WWII serving in Germany and earning multiple medals including a Bronze Star for Bravery. After returning from Germany in 1946, Zeke and his wife Cecile put all of their efforts into the humble beginnings of Tipton Company.
William V. Tipton, Retired
In 1965, Zeke's son, William "Bill" Tipton went to work at Tipton Company and eventually purchased the company from his father. By the 1970's, Bill grew Tipton Company to 45 employees and over $25,000,000 in product sales. Bill also started Component Manufacturing Corporation, selling plumbing specialty items to the wholesale jobber. Bill retired in 1996 and sold Tipton Company and Component Manufacturing Corporation to his son, Ty Tipton.
Ty Tipton, CEO / President
Ty Tipton currently serves as the President and CEO of Tipton Company and Component Manufacturing Corporation. Ty has owned and operated the companies for 15 years.
Zeke, Bill and Ty all agree that people measure success in many different ways. However, success to the Tipton Family has always been measured not by how many lines you represent, or how much money you make, but by your longevity within the industry and the mutual respect you've earned from your factories and customers.
